Donegal, 1813

Reflecting on my own knowledge and love of the fiddle tradition from Co. Donegal, I answered the brief by looking at how traditional stories and music can exist purely to evoke, to create a spirit of their own, irrelevant to the place. In this line, I recorded the movement of the fiddler, the voice of the storyteller, and the neutral space. This was complemented by typographic animation, emphasising the story and completing a short animated film reflecting the spirit of a people, of a place.
